The PC-controlled CNC turning machine Concept Turn 260 for industrial applications is presented in combination with a 6-axis industry robot RV-4L. With this launch, EMCO is addressing two very current Industry 4.0 topics:
• Product memory = the workpiece becomes an active element in the production process
• Changeability = the complete system can be operated with several CNC controls
Alongside the machine presented at the AMB, WinNC for Fanuc 31i-B and WinNC for Sinumerik Operate were shown. The trainees learn to think about this machine within the complete system – from preparation, to planning, to implementation and final checks. The particular focus here is the communication of effective and efficient processes for planning and acting.
Technical details on the Industry 4.0 machine - Concept Turn 260 with robot-feeder RF-4-CT260-I4 consisting of:
• Concept Turn 260 TCM: PC-controlled CNC turning machine for industrial applications
• 6-axis industry robot RV-4FL
• Siemens S7 control
• Turck RFID read head
• Cellular frame according to the Machinery Directive, Safety housing
• Cells are mobile and fixable thanks to screw feet
• Feed-in/out of parts
• Communication with CNC via robotics interface, DNC, Ethernet
• MES4 software for dispatching orders, program selection, key figures and work schedules.
Latest technology features of the CT 260
The Concept Turn 260 incorporates the latest Siemens drive generation (Sinamics) and axis controller ACpn, the advanced centrepiece of changeable control which uses cutting-edge technologies. Advantages include the safety technology integrated in the drive (Safety Integrated), the use of absolute encoders (referencing no longer necessary), as well as fieldbus integration with Profinet (flexible, adaptable communication between components).
WinNC for Fanuc 31i including Manual Guide i as an expansion to the WinNC controls
The system can be operated using the well-established WinNC for Sinumerik Operate as well as using the new WinNC for FANUC 31i incl. Manual Guide i, which is also being presented at the AMB for the first time. The proven FANUC 31i – Model B was used as the basis for the design.
Highlights Fanuc 31i incl. Manual Guide i:
• Manual Guide i and DIN/ISO programming
• Standard G-code editor functionality like FANUC Original (ISO)
• Chaotic tool management
• Implementation of command editor
• Macro-programming
• Comprehensive processing cycles implemented
Easy2Control: New control concept:
Another highlight within Industry 4.0 is Concept Turn 260's new, optimised machine control panel, including 16:9 Industry-Touchscreen with 21.5“ screen and Easy2control user interface.
Easy2control offers attractive applications to expand the already successful system of interchangeable control with EMCO training machines. Ideal for use with both machines and simulation stations, Easy2control brings additional control elements directly to the screen and provides optimum input conditions in combination with a touch screen monitor. The various keyboard variants, customer-specific screen displays and custom-made solutions for the individual customer makes Easy2control a promising and highly flexible extension to the modular EMCO training concept. The interchangeable controls are represented using an on-screen keyboard, which makes switching between different control systems even easier and quicker.
This significantly improves man-machine interaction, and the size of the screen and the size of the screen window for programming are trendsetting in the field of training. This is what distinguishes EMCO software from other products. Furthermore, the new control panel enables a quicker and easier control configuration.
EMCO has once again succeeded in adapting industry standards to the specific needs of professional training and further development. Interchangeable control with maximum industry orientation and industrial hardware including state-of-the-art features combined with didactic standards is what characterises this new development.
