At the Forefront in Dynamics and Productivity: The new machining and milling center Hyperturn 45 - also fully automated
High-performance main and counter spindles, two tool systems, a stable Y axis, water-cooled spindle motors, dynamic digital drives, a thermo-symmetrical machine construction, compact dimensions and intelligent automation solutions. These facts result in a rapid return on investment (ROI) for the professional user. And they make up the highlights of Emco's new Hyperturn 45. The turning and milling center is specially designed for applications in automotive and general engineering and aviation as well as for applications in dental, medical and precision and jewelry technology.

The new Hyperturn 45 convinces with higher dynamics and more technical sophistication. The user obtains a greater variety and freedom in workpiece machining as well as increased productivity. He especially benefits from the sophisticated technology and quality, if he chooses the automated version. A 3-axis portal makes for perfect loading and unloading. Generally, the user will benefit from the "everything from one source" automation philosophy and its concrete technical implementation. He can thus choose the right equipment for his company, which provides him with a complete solution. Besides the flexible gripper system, this can include, for example, measurement, deburring and cleaning stations, as well as the preparation of cooling lubricants. The Halleiners also design the palletizing cell to meet the customer's requirements or according to the blanks to be processed and the manufacturing result. A secured working area, large vision panels, loading ports that retract downward, and a drip tray are some of the details.
Even the basic version of the Hyperturn 45 now offers more, such as a Y-axis with 70 mm traveling distance in the upper and a Z2-axis in the lower carriage system. As with the Hyperturn 65, main and counter spindles are equipped with water-cooled, integrated spindle motors. They provide a higher drive power of 15 kW and feature a maximum speed of 7,000 rpm and higher torque of 100 Nm.
Unloading through the counter spindle
The enlarged spindle nose (A2-5) enables the unloading of bar stock parts with a diameter of up to 45mm diameter through the spindle. The parts are generally set down onto an inclined surface, or alternatively onto a controlled discontinuous belt. This prevents damage to workpieces.
Swivel loader automation solution
The compact and fast loading device for any kind of pre-formed blanks is integrated into the basic machine. With a longitudinal swivel movement, the gripper picks up the blanks from the feeding system (discontinuous belt or feed track) and loads them into the machine spindle. The parts catcher usually transports and sets down the finished part away from the working area.
TopLoad
TopLoad, also developed by Emco, can be used to load up to 3-meter long bar stock into the machine automatically. Thanks to its patented guidance system, it takes only 1-2 minutes to change from one diameter to another. Steady rests adjusted to the stock diameter guide the bar stock smoothly, keeping production conditions quiet.
Sinumerik 840D-sl
Thanks to the latest Siemens control and drive system, the "Solution Line", programming the machine is easy and effective. The fold-out PC keyboard is an ergonomic plus, especially if the machine is regularly programmed.
Naturally, the EMCO commitment of ‘Made in the Heart of Europe’ also applies to the HYPERTURN 45: The machines are completely developed and produced in central Europe in cooperation with European brand manufacturers that meet the highest standards in terms of quality, productivity and efficiency.
